WANDERERS (4-1-4-1).

LUKE SOUTHWOOD…6.5.

Really didn’t have a huge amount on his plate, shots-wise, but had to stay alert with Williams’ long throws and set pieces peppering the penalty box.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…7.

Put in a significant shift up and down the right flank. Yes, not everything hit the mark, but if you could bottle his work-rate, it would be a best seller.

WILL FORRESTER…7.5.

Really strong performance, particularly in the latter stages when he made a number of telling blocks and clearances.

GEORGE JOHNSTON…7.

Up for the battle, as ever, and didn’t let much past him all day. Also stepped into midfield to play some intelligent passes into the front men.

ALEX MURPHY…6.

Much more comfortable in the second half when he switched to centre back. A little slow to react at times in the first hour.

JOSH SHEEHAN…6.5.

Neat and tidy on the ball as we have grown to expect, Bolton’s sixth captain of the season rarely looks like he is under any stress.

JORDI OSEI-TUTU…6.5.

Night and day, first half to second. Looked way off the pace in the first 45 minutes but once asked to play on the left of a 3-5-2 he suddenly burst into life.

AARON MORLEY…7.

Came up with the big moment from the penalty spot despite everything going on around him. Confident lad, and deserves the praise coming his way.

JAY MATETE…6.

Always looking to make something happen but this was one of those days where he lost possession a few too many times in his own half.

SZABI SCHON…7.5.

Ball of energy in the first half and actually ran himself to a standstill in the end. Looks much more effective since the managerial change.

JOHN MCATEE…6.

Hard graft but little reward before the break. Once linking up with his pal Collins, however, he got a goal and you can’t ask for more than that.

Subs: Thomason 89 (for Murphy), Forino 89 (for Osei-Tutu), Adeboyejo 73 (for McAtee), Lolos  90+8 (for Adeboyejo).

Not used: Baxter, Randall.

Leyton Orient: (4-2-3-1): Keeley; Galbraith, Edmonds-Green, Cooper, Currie; Brown, Ball; Wiiliams, Donley, Abdulai; Kelman.

Subs: Sweeney 57 (for Cooper), Perkins 69 (for Williams), Agyei 70 (for Abdulai), Markanday 90 (for Brown), Obiero 90 (for Ball).

Not used: Jaiyesimi, Phiilips.

Referee: Sam Purkiss – 6/10: Another case of a referee making amends at the end of the game for timewasting as opposed to tacking it at the time. Got the big calls in the game right, so complaints should be kept to a minimum.

Attendance: 20,851

MAN OF THE MATCH – Will Forrester.

Edges out Schon for virtue of second-half bravery – a fine centre-half display in what was a very good second-half display. A defender’s defender.

MOAN OF THE MATCH – They fell behind again… For the 16th time this season. Wanderers can’t really keep offering up these chances but fair play to them, they keep fighting back.

MAGIC MOMENT – Aaron Collins’ silky introduction to the second half, and his deft pass for McAtee to score the equaliser. Class in a glass.

ATMOSPHERE – Always supportive, and that really helped calm matters. Even at 1-0 down there was no panic around the place.
